Guys. This stuff is AMAZING.

I redid my kitchen cabinets and it was a breeze. NO SANDING. NO PRIMING. I'm not even kidding.

All I had to do was give my cabinets a really good clean using this, fill any imperfections with some woodfiller, sand it down, and it was ready to go. An optional step, which I chose to do this time because I've done cabinets in a different house and didn't do this step, is to caulk all the seams of the cabinet doors and the seams along the wall where the cabinets attach. It made painting so much easier and they look so much cleaner. Because sometimes you can get little "holes" in the paint finish on the seams if they aren't caulked and filled. So it's a little bit of a time consuming step, but one that I would definitely recommend.

I'm awesome and forgot to take pictures WHILE I was painting. Sad face. But if you want a step-by-step check out this post. It's pretty much exactly what I did in my kitchen.

If you've been even slightly considering painting your cabinets white (or any other color! In my last home I did the top cabinets white and the bottom ones green and I loved it!) this is the product for you. It makes it so easy, and you can use ANY flat paint you want! Which means it can be as expensive or cheap as you want. I've got to say that if you get a little bit nicer paint it will cover better and you won't have to do as many coats, so you get what you pay for! Keep that in mind when choosing paint, because I'd rather pay a little more for quality paint than have to do a million coats while painting. Yes. I learned from experience... NOT fun doing 10 coats (not even kidding) of white on my last cabinet painting project. I also didn't use the bbfrösch powder last time, I did the whole plaster of paris thing and I have to say it's worth your $$$ to get the chalkpaint powder.

Good luck with your painting projects! I'm planning on using bbfrösch to paint an awesome hutch I scored off craigslist so that will be on the blog as soon as it's finished!

My kitchen is getting a lot of loving attention right now and I can't wait to show you all the things we're doing!

Much love and I hope you stick around!
